What really surprised me aside from the beautiful picture and wonderful sound, was my own emotional reaction to enjoying this movie again, not dissimilar to the feelings I have when watching The Sound of Music. Memories of my now 14 year old daughter who as a three-year-old tot burst into tears when the beast transforms into a man, and the soundtrack that we played over and over in the car when our kids were younger, snuck up and overwhelmed me a little bit. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is truly a wonderful film.

Three versions, including the original theatrical presentation are provided, along with a wealth of extras, including games, documentaries, photo galleries, music videos, and much, much more.

Chances are very good that if you love this film as much as I do, you already have it. Disney does not provide us with any screeners in advance or otherwise with rare exceptions, so we weren't able to look at this title any sooner than our readers. If you've been holding off, don't wait too long, because after Disney earns their 50 million dollars or whatever for this release, it'll go back into storage for another 10 years.
