Thanks to all of you, beta testing of Windows Media 9 Series has been going extremely well. Feedback from the public newsgroups and listservs has helped us to identify and fix numerous bugs since our last beta release (build 2800) in late September. To help ensure a rock-solid Final release, we made the Release Candidate of the Player, Encoder, and SDK publicly available on the web tonight (Oct 31, 2002) so that you can test these components in your environments. There are a number of new features of note in the Player that are detailed at the bottom of this post. Be sure to read the player and encoder release notes to see what’s new and a list of all known issues and workarounds, and please continue to post your feedback (feature requests and bug reports) to the appropriate beta newsgroup so that we can gather and act on your input | ||
