KPN Mobile is the first operator in Europe to offer high-speed mobile access to company information through a service called "Lucio" marketed in cooperation with HP and Microsoft. Lucio enables mobile employees to retrieve and edit their company e- mail, schedules and address books from any location. The service allows them to work more efficiently and more effectively while traveling. The first Lucio package consists of PDAs/Pocket PCs in combination with a mobile phone providing direct access to a company's Exchange 2000 environment. Communication is by means of secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) links that give only authorized users access to data on their company network. | ||
