No NetBEUI Support in Windows XP? | |

Sources close to Microsoft indicate that Microsoft have recently ditched the support of the NetBEUI protocol in the latest beta build 2486 of Windows XP. However it remains possible to install NetBEUI from the CD, but it's not advised. Below is an excerpt of the Windows XP 2486 release notes: "NetBEUI (NBF) is a non-routable protocol suitable for small networks. Support for this protocol in Microsoft Windows has been discontinued." | ||
