Consumers can expect clearer information on privacy and heightened security for personal information shared online after yesterday's agreement between Microsoft Corp. and the Federal Trade Commission, privacy advocates said. The agreement reaches beyond Microsoft, putting all Web site operators on notice that standards for online data collection and security have been sharply raised, said one privacy group. | ||
