Windows®Media Player v.9.0 build 2601 has been leaked onto the web. We can't tell if it is still in alpha or if it is a beta release as yet. New features are as follows:

  • Basic GUI changes with a new tab on the side called services
  • Improved WMA encoder
  • Advanced editing for song properties
  • DVD encoder now allows you to record video
  • New Video sizes
  • Clear history option (for all you porn addicts)
  • More visualizations & Metadata
  • Improved management of plug-ins
  • New feature - Audio Normalize & Audio Crossfade
  • New minimize feature
