Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer has warned users of Red Hat Linux that they will have to pay Microsoft for its intellectual property. "People who use Red Hat, at least with respect to our intellectual property, in a sense have an obligation to compensate us," Ballmer said last week at a company event in London discussing online services in the UK. | ||

Actually, you negotiate cross-licensing deals with various companies like Novell etc. Its been very successful. So then why isn't MS suing, considering RH told them to get stuff a long time ago? MS seems to have all the time in the world to cry to the media, but not to get paid for their precious IP? Funny that, huh? Microsoft is the biggest target, therefore attracting the most attention. Oh, so MS pays out a billion per year in IP lawsuit settlements because they're innocent. You're a business genius just like ketchum. |

I guess PJ and OSRM lied to you ... here are 3:
"IP Innovation LLC and Technology Licensing Corporation filed against Red Hat and Novell on 9 October. The complaint accuses Red Hat and Novell of infringing three patents, all of which appear to have originally been assigned to Xerox.
