With Microsoft still refusing to provide Windows Phone 7 sales figures, retailers are stepping in with their own anecdotal evidence about the new smartphone platform’s market success – or lack of it. UK store MobilesPlease has announced that Windows Phone 7 has accounted for just 3-percent of their smartphone sales, with Android devices outselling WP7 handsets 15:1 and even Symbian doing a good job of eclipsing Microsoft. | ||

Microsoft has another lame advertising campaign with their televised Windows 7 ads that imply that using a W7 phone will somehow be more efficient. No one equates efficient with being cool. MS still hasn't learned how to show off their products like Apple very successfully does in their ads. MS has had one or two good ads for their products in the last 15 years. Otherwise, the ads are a big "huh?".
We can never forget the Gates ass shake in the Seinfeld series of ads about nothing. That's what MS thinks will win people over in the 21st century, a lack of clarity and coolness. To the cloud! |

The product placement crap in TV shows is so blatant and, frankly, wreaks of desperation.
