Whenever Microsoft "simplifies", it seems to cost people money.
I won't bring the old Licensing 6 thing up again LOL |

I agree it was a cash based decision, though it does have the added effect of some simplification so it's a 2 for one special as the simplification will generate more cash. ;)
While I'm sure few here end up paying full price I just have to say 500$ for professional in a FFP is just too much, unless those licenses are 3 simultaneous licenses, ie I'm on the laptop working in word and the wife is on her home machine in excel and my kids on his using word. Then 500$ is relatively fair vs the old system where you could install it on all 3 but not use at same time. Though Publisher and Access to me though don't really provide 225$ in added value imho, that said 279$ to cover a typical 2 or 3 PC household seems like a good price point to me - assuming what I've seen described as the 'family license' works as described above. |
