| #1 - it doesn't break it here - I just disable Windows Messenger now as there is no info from Microsoft as to when it (if ever) it will get updated again. |

| I heard MSN Messenger 5.0 adds UPnP support for all the features (file, voice and video). Messenger 4.x only uses UPnP for voice and video, not file transfer. It made life easier if you're behind a UPnP enabled NAT/router. |

Open Messenger and go to Tools\Options... menu. On General tab, uncheck 'Run Messenger when Windows starts'. Or simply run command MSCONFIG and uncheck the messenger in startup. After service pack 1, you can even unstall Windows Messenger easily. |

Can someone provide a link that shows the differences between Windows Messenger and MSN messenger? And do we need 2?
The only benefit is that plus! works on Windows messenger. |
