| So, instead of releaseing a service pack for current VS.NET to fix millions of bugs in VS.NET IDE, Microsoft choose to release new version first? The IDE in VS.NET is the buggiest ever. First version of VS6 is much more stable than this. |

I use VS.NET in daily work, mostly non-managed/non-.NET C++ code. Many bugs in the IDE are quite common. Wait until you see the bug list of the SP1 |

I agree with Foxbat. This upgrade better be very cheap, if not free.
We're just finally starting to deploy VS.NET to our developers. |

| Well for starters, there's the !@#$ Autohide bug where you lose your Properties window after running an app in the IDE, until you close and restart the IDE. Unless you've got a superfast development machine, this gets old real fast. |

here is just a few:
(1) source code files suddently became uneditable especially on large files. (2) When interacting with source control, IDE tends to check out wrong file in different folders with the same name. (3) When a source file is already open, click on a class method on class view won't jump to that method in the source file. And there is crashing to desktop w/o warning bug. Anyone spend serious time on VC.NET will easily spot dozens of bugs. Maybe it is related to C++ only. |
