Hi, Im trying to get internet access on my better halfs laptop (vista) with built in wireless functionality through my pc (xp sp2) which is connected to my adsl modem (not wireless) by connecting a D-Link wireless G usb adapter to the pc. set up as per instruction then transfer usb adapter to laptop etc etc to sync settings, but my wan has a problem and doesnt work.. Is this even possible or do I also need a wireless router for this to function? any help much appreciated as Im trying to get this set up for her b'day in 2 days...

The best way is to connect your modem to a wireless router. As to make, the latest Linksys are pretty good and easy to set up. Just follow the directions. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf MacBook Pro 15" (Intel i5 2.40GHz), Gateway 15.4" Laptop, Windows Vista Ultimate , Photoshop CS5
