I have uninstalled Adobe 9.0 (which seemed to start all this. Run ccleaner, spybot, and auslogics reg. cleaner. I decided to restore after installing 9.0 because it began running like a total slug. I couldn't even get the functions in MS publisher to work, or get on the NET. (timed out.) Now it's running with a major hesitation, but then it finally does what it's supposed to. So after all these hours, (because everything I did took forever!) I still can't restore. There was a "system utilities changes" message for a while as well. I got some advice to go to MSconfig, and eliminate some start up features. I am very adept at office, and I know a little about system utilities, (yes I defraged, diskcleaned, etc.) I'm a writer, no puter genious. Any suggestions out there? Again, I click on say, explorer, and nothing happens for a couple minutes. When it finally does, it works, though at times I have to click "off" a page, then I get an hour glass for a moment, then it works?????? It also loads pages extremely slowly.
