| Hi Guys I am desperate for some help on this one please. Pre- warned my network knowledge is very basic ! I have had to re-format my laptop whilst at home and am trying to connect to my office server network over a VPN connection that connects fine. I go to My Computer - properties etc and click networkID enter all the details (which I know are correct) as soon as it gets to the end of this process it won't connect I get the message "An Active Directory Domain Controller for the account p*****.co.uk could not be contacted" I really need some help with this please as I have searched the net for hours and whilst there is loads of posts I dont really understand them ! I do have full acces to my office server (Windows Server 2003) via vnc so. I really would appriciate any advice that can be offer to resolve this Many thanks |

| Active Directory not only authorized you as a userl, but also your computer. What needs to happen is for your IT department to reauthorize your computer on the Win2003 AD server. | Thanks for the Reply Jedi I can get access to my server desktop using VNC so can see or change things - is there something I could do the re authorize the user / computer ? Thanks again |
