When I try to view download managerI get a download prompt for current.downloadhost(58 bytes). Even if I allow the download it goes right back and I can't get to the download manager. Anyone know a fix? I read somewhere it has something to do with the Windows Live OneCare Safety Scan which I had used.

I'm having the same problem with getting rid of the current.downloadhost. Does anyone know how to get rid of it.

I've read about a fix on Windows XP using run but I've yet to find one on Vista and I'm also suffering from this. This is a fix for it on XP. http://www.cknow.com/faqs/Why/HavingaMSNMAILHOSTDOWNLOA.html Problem is, since Vista installs in different places and whatnot, I have no clue how to fix it on here using that method. I hope you guys are talking of MSN's download host problem... I know I get the "current.downloadhost" on it too so I assume it's the same as what you're saying. Is anyone here smart enough to figure out what we would run to re-register the dll on Vista?

By default on my 64-bit Vista MSN installed the file here. C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\MSN6\MSNCoreFiles.NEW.{9D6EAA4F-27B2-4407-AC72-4BBD2FCB6ED1} Simple open run, then type, without the quotes, "regsvr32 C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\MSN6\MSNCoreFiles.NEW.{9D6EAA4F-27B2-4407-AC72-4BBD2FCB6ED1}" It will say it succeeded. However it did nothing for me. Maybe it can help others though because the run command on XP doesn't fix everyone's from what I read.
