Please help me.
I tried restarting my computer this morning but it hanged on the loading screen. I am using Window XP Professional.
I then tried to enter Windows in Safe mode but it hangs after this last loading thing.

Does anyone know what's the problem and a way i can resolve this without formatting my computer? I have a lot of data that i don't want to lose [emote|:(]

Did you install a particular program or download something prior to this happening?

No. I have not downloaded anything besides maybe a few JPEG and an AVI.
The weird thing is, is that this has happened to me before. And after 2 weeks, i decided to check again. and... Surprisingly...my computer loaded up in safe mode! then i decided to do a system restore and my windows was working again.
Now it's back to square one. Any solutions at all? [emote|:(]

One thing that you might want to try first is to reboot with your WinXP CD in and go into the Recovery Console. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314058. This may at least get your computer to a point where you can backup your data.
BTW, what antivirus are you running?
