I've been having this problem with this pc for about 6 months. I did a system restore and that temp. fixed the problem for about a month. whats happens is the screen will freeze, and sometimes gets lines across it and completely freezes up. sometimes i even have to turn off the surge protecter to get it to come back on. well i un-installed all the the AV programs, then just went with AVG. Did a scan, nothing came up at all. i just now updated the drivers for my video card, which is a nvidia geforce 4, and yes i know its old lol. but i dont play any games on it. i just went into properties under my computer and unchecked restart automatically so maybe i can get some sort or error when it tries to restart again. but other than all of that i have NO idea what the problem is! please help! what can i do?
