Alright so my computer got a virus and now I had to reinstall Windows XP (Windows XP Service pack 2). I am only 14 so I don't know much about my computer besides its custom made, monitor is dell. Graphics card is pretty new, but I had it for a few months before this happened.

The easy way to fix this is to go into Device Manager (Control Panel/System, click on the Hardware tab and then the Device Manager button). There will probably be a yellow exclamation point for the sound card. Right click and choose update driver, and let WinXP search the internet for it. An alternate way is to right click, and choose to uninstall it, and reboot the computer. Win XP will then search for the driver. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200
