| I'm was trying to free up some space on my PC and deleted a file I thought was a ".com" file. It turned out to be a command file and now my computer will not get past the Dell screen when I restart it. Is there and way to get past this and recover the file? It won't even start in safe mode..... Any help would be awesome!!! |

| There's the catch... no boot CD.... I was given the computer by a friend with out any of the CD's..... The file it is saying I'm missing is NTDETECT.... Any more advice???? thanks! |

| Without having the XP cd, you're stuck. I'd suggest checking with your friend to see if he/she has the CD's.
