doing a search of files and folders itunes shows up but when I try to install it comes up saying "cannot run by directly launching MSI pkg you must run setup.exe." Does anyone know what/how that is/works? Would it be better if I just deleted it and downloaded it? I have a dial up connection... I'm not very savvy and I just want a program that's easy to add music to so I can burn CD's. Most of them I can't even figure out how to add the songs to my library. (Sad isn't it?) I'm persistent though! Itunes was installed when the computer was purchased so I have no recovery disc. Somehow it got deleted/moved something. (It wasn't me I promise) Help. It's a little tense without tunes!!!!!!!![emote|:$]

Go to Apple's website and download the latest version of iTunes. I'd suggest downloading it to something like the Desktop so you know where it is. Install from there. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

Before this problem started, was there a particular program you installed, or something you downloaded that may have started this problem? I'm not sure why you'd get that error message if you were downloading the latest version of iTunes. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

I had downloaded jetaudio and uninstalled it. I received the same prompt at that time too, but the installation went through. I also had the same problem with opening my mail.

It sounds like this "jetaudio" is the cause of the problem. In looking at Download.com's description, it says to make sure that you DON'T want jetaudio to be the default application (which makes me think that it makes changes that can't be undone, even after installation). Suggest contacting the creator of jetaudio (http://www.cowonamerica.com/) for assistance as it sounds like their software is the culprit. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, ATi Radeon 9550; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200

I received the same message prior to the download of jetaudio. I only downloaded jetaudio after I was unable to download itunes.
