| hey all, my brother just asked me to look at his computer. he recieved a file name "photos of us at school2007.zip" now straight off i wouldnt accept a zip file unless i asked someone to send me something in a zip file. but stupid him as they all do, he accepted it and it opened a chat with ALL the people currently on his msn contact list and sent them the same message, now this is a random thing, its sort of like timed, where everyone who has the virus all sends it out at the same time so im thinking there must be something downloading the trigger signal of when for all the computers to send the message at the exact same time. i searched google where i came across this site, i read a thread and went through msconfig and dissabled the file from starting on startup but there is no indication as to if it will stay off or weather a trigger will make it open up again. basically we just formatted the computer a month ago and dont really want to do the same thing again. i learnt something too... @ssoon as i read what happens i turned auto accept off (msn plus feature) my email address is sneakydevil1985@hotmail.com if anyone has any information as to what can help. ---------------------------------------------- sneakydevil1985@hotmail.com |

Hi,
I just got this virus tonight too. Seems to only occur whenever I have MSN Messenger on as my computer is fine otherwise.
Anything I can do? Really dont want to have to reformat my computer!
Thanks i advance.
EDIT also when I have MSN Messneger running, my mouse and keyboard freeze every few minutes for a about 7 or 8 seconds. I restarted my computer but didnt sign in to MSN and it has been ok so far. This post was last edited by steve172 on Thursday, August 16, 2007 5:44:01 PM. |

| i unistalled msn as soon as i realised what was happening. otherwise my computer hasnt shown any signs of being infected with the virus |
