| I backed my windows up to a cd-rw because it was getting kinda scuffed... I just recently put a new hard drive into my laptop and while instlaling windows from the disc I got multiple errors saying the files below couldn't be found and hit enter to retry or esc to skip... I skipped. My computer is working fine from what i can tell, I just don't have any sound... is there any way I can replace these files or something? Like a windows base driver installer package download somewhere? | Try copying (using something like Nero) the original WinXP CD to a clean CD-R disk. Use the copy disk function (both Nero and Roxio have copy functions). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS3, Nikon D200 and D100 |

[/QUOTE] This can be either because CD is dirty and scratched, or the memory problem (RAM) you have to try put another stick of memory and try reinstall |
