Hello, I have Windows XP Media edition loaded on a HP desk top and recently it has developed a problem with recording cds. When I drag and drop photos or apps., the prompt comes up saying "you have files waiting to be written to cd". how ever when I go to write the cd it tells me to insert a blank cd into the cd burner, even though it already has one in it. It plays prerecorded cds normally and I can record music with Magix music manager and pictures with Pisca. Whats going on and how do I correct this? Thanks.

[/QUOTE] Is the cd formatted for the data you are trying to write to it? Have you cleaned it lately? Also check and make sure you are using a blank cd that is compatible. Hope this helps!
