Hi, I have just had to rebuild a SBS server and have found that will the server seems to be able to get onto the web and ping the clients. the Clients cannot even ping the IP of the server. Last time this happend a friend had to type something into the Command line to effectivly reset TCPIP i think.

Type "ipconfig /release", then "ipconfig /renew". (note there is a space between ipcofig and the /). Then reboot. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

Jedi The IP is statically @ssign on the server so this wont work there and I have had to @ssign static ip with external DNS just so i can get this client to connect to the net.

If you know the static IP, then you can find the DNS (and a whole bunch more info) with ipconfig /all. Is your SBS behind a router or hardware firewall by chance? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 700C - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Audigy SE; Windows Vista Business, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

Server IP 192.168.1.10 Client IP 192.168.1.20 ---> please confirm Also make sure you haven't enabled the firewall on the Win2k3 Server. ---------------------------------------------- Forsaken
