Hi I'm a new member.I'm Murray from St.Catharines Ontario Canada and like most here I suppose have a problem. My sister received a used older computer running windows 2000 with NT and I've been trying to get her on the internet. The problem being, the computer was used in a hospital network setting and every time I try and access a website I get a message saying I need a supervisors p@ssword which I have not a clue what it is.She has a high speed modem and my question is how do I remove the security settings that require p@sswords so my sister can use this computer? The tech support for the server said that we are connected but seemed to think the antivirus and firewall were the problem, however I think this computer was just not allowed access to the internet without authorization, and I would like to know how to remove this portion of the OS.This OS probably isn't the best one for her needs and I do not have the disc.Any help would be greatly appreciated,Thanks Murray

However, it sounds like you need a freah reinstall of window 2000. If you dont have the cd'sh!t ebay, I am sure you will pick up a very cheap copy of windows 2000 professional. ---------------------------------------------- Forsaken
