To anyone who can help...
I am a high school teacher, responsible for maintaining the Tech Lab. I am currently using my teacher computer as a file server running Server 2003 with 20 student computers with XP Pro. All year long, I have used successfully a Students shared folder on the server, being mapped on the student stations. Recently, random student stations are giving the following message, "The specific network name is no longer available." If I go into the network connections, the mapped drive still appears to be connected. I have attempted disconnected, reaconnecting, restarting the computer, restarting the entire lab!
I know the network hubs and cables are working properly as another software package I use for cl@ssroom management continues to work without fail. I can also see all the computers within the workgroup (no domain) from each station (server included).
Any suggestions would be helpful!

Try basic trouble shooting:
Hop onto one client, and ping the IP address of the server. i.e 192.168.1.10
Browse the shares on the server by clicking start > run > \\192.168.1.10
If you can see the shares your in business!
If not you have either a user account problem, networking problem with the IP address on the client or a firewall is blocking the client computer.
