Can you rename it? You could change the extension to txt and then at least it won't be accessible as an image. If that option isn't available then try going into the file properties and see if it's "read only" Change that parameter and then try to delete it. I just found this little nugget further down the stack! [Arial]Solution for you all: This works for both undeletable folders AND files, browse to the folder or file that won't delete and then move back 1 so you can drag the it's parent folder containing the bad entry(s). Drag that good folder directly to your root (C:\ usually) then you can delete it. If the bad file or folder is along side stuff you want to keep just move that stuff out of the folder before you delete it and then create a folder in it;s place and put your stuff back. Microsoft states that Windows doesn't like long filenames so renaming... my_this_filename_is_so_utterly_large_it's_just_unfathomable_to_think_of_someone_doing_it_on_purpose.exe ...to... my_thi~1.exe (it's 8.3 "shortname" title) ...will do the trick. What they don't tell you however is that if the file is contained about 10 - 15 folders deep then the path length would be too large to delete it anyway, this is where transferring the folder containing the troublemaker to your root solves the problem [/Arial] ---------------------------------------------- Krebbin
