Hi guys, I know this seems to be never ending... this time i need help. scenario. PC A can see and access PC B on the workgroup network. PC B can see but cannot access PC A on the network. PC B cannot ping PC A. both are connected on a hub. workgroup are the same. I've already set the the folders to be shared. I`m using Windows firewall and Mcafee(disabled it before still the same results). IP address of PC A is set to 192.168.0.1 and PC B is set to 192.168.0.2. subnet are the same for both 255.255.255.0 It seems like a dead end for me. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue would be great.

Try a different port on the hub, or try using a router. I've found that hubs can be rather finicky...ok...a pain in the butt. Whereas, with a router, never had a problem. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100

I've switch to different ports on the hub but to no avail its still the same problem. Is there a way to reset all the network configuration to the first time windows was installed? I'm still a newbie at setting up networking.

My last setup worked with the same settings with the wizard and the hub. and now I can't remember what I did that made it work.
?????? Are you using a powered hub? Also, what version (s) of WinXP are you using on each computer. It would be best if each computer was running the same (i.e. all run WinXP Home, or WinXP Pro - NOT a combination of both) ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
