I have a desktop microphone that I was trying to get to work, but will not. I open ALL PROGRAMS and selected Accessories - then Entertainment. Entertainment is EMPTY. On my second computer - Sound Recorder, Volume Control and Windows Media Player are installed. How can I install these on my #1 computer? Thanks so much

You'll need to have your WinXP CD available. Go to Control Panel/Add and Remove Programs and choose Add or Remove Windows Components. From there you can add any needed programs (Sound Recorder and Volume Control). Also, under Control Panel, choose Sounds,Speech and Audio Device, then Sounds and Audio Device. Under Advanced, make sure that the box for Mic is NOT checked (if it's checked, that means it's muted and won't work). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 1gig RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
