Since both are running XP pro, make sure that they have the same workgroup name. Next, make sure that whatever firewall you're using allows communication between the two (some firewalls completely disable file shareing and communication with other computers on the same network. You'll have to enable file sharing on whatever folders you want to share. If you've connected each of the laptops using a crossover cable, and you've disabled the network card on each, this is why they can't communicate with each other. If both have wireless capabilities, you might want to allow them to communicate wirelessly rather than via a crossover. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
