Like meany said this is bad ram. THere's even a microsoft article that says this, but im too lazy to find it =/

You might want to try safe mode (restart, press f5). In safe mode the switch himem.sys /memcheck is run i believe, and it checks extended memory. Often with bad ram himem will report that it found unreliable memory.

gpctexas i made no mistake. WHen you go into safe mode it does this by default. If i wanted to i could have looked it up, but who cares what the exact switch is. You do not have to edit config.sys.
