| In doing a quick Google search, Vista should include drivers for SoundMax. The general recommendatios were: 1. Check with either the computer or motherboard mfgr to see if separate drivers are installed 2. Uninstall the sound card drivers (go to device manager and the device in question, rightclick and choose Uninstall) and reboot You didn't mention, are there any "!" next to any devices? ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100 |

| Just had a thought. Does this built-in soundcard include both digital and analog outputs? If your speakers are analog, and it's set to digital, that would prevent any sound from coming out. | Hey guys, i found another way that worked 100% for me: I had xp and then upgraded for vista so soundmax didnt work anymore. So all i did is to download sound max. Then it is gonna say that the software is not compatible with vista. So, you open device manager, go to your audio device and click properties. Then go update th driver and then to "find the driver on my computer". You go to swsetup and just click on it. Then click find. That's it, it worked really good with me |
