If you've been hacked that means the OS is damaged. You may be looking at reformatting/reinstalling everything (which sounds like you know how to do that). Last time I had a DOS, the FBI (yeah, had to call in the calvary) recommended setting up filters through my ISP. What I was getting were the "Microsoft Patch Update" e-mails - at the tune of 700 per day. My ISP had the ability to let me set up filters via the web which took care of the problem. To prevent a DOS, be careful as to which sites you post to, and which newsgroups you post to. That's how your e-mail address gets on these servers. Use a false e-mail in your newsgroup profile, or set up a hotmail/gmail account. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, nVidia 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS2, Nikon D200 and D100
