| To share files, you need to enable sharing on the folder that you want to share. You'll also need to run Internet Connection Sharing setup so that the laptop can access the internet. An easier way is to get a router (wired or wireless) so that either/both can share the internet. If you use ICF, the PC has to be on in order for the laptop to access the internet (downside of ICF).
