I have Verizon too and experience the same. Our computers are connected via a Microsoft Wireless Router. Every so often the DHCP server we connect to drops the connection. I have to shut everything down, turn off the modem and then power up to reset the connection - pain in the butt. It could be a couple of things - and most likely it has to do with Verizon. Either the server you connect to is failing (as was my case - it took about five complaints for them to actually check it and admit the server needed to be replaced), or a connection problem between the CO and your home. Try powering everything down, including the modem, wait at least a minute, then power on the switch first, then the modem (wait until all the modem lights glow solid), and then bring up one computer to see if it connects. You also might want to look at using a router rather than a switch. A router will provide a hardware firewall. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100
