Dude! What's going on? You seem to be having endless problems (emptying recycle bin causes system to slow down, which browser to use, etc). As to loosing your login screen, did you download something recently (like maybe recent Windows update?). Have you recently installed new applications or downloaded/installed stuff from the internet? You really need to provide a lot more info as to what you were doing/installing/etc prior to the problem(s) starting. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100

I'm familiar with that program - needless to say that (as you've found out), it messes everything up. As to getting back your login screen - is your computer set up for just one user (i.e yourself), or are there others. If just yourself, and (I'm @ssuming) you had it so that you entered your p@ssword, go to the Users accounts in Control Panel and edit your profile so that you have to enter a p@ssword. Personally, I'd recommend doing a complete reformat with all of the problems you've had, and the damge that StyleXP can cause to the OS. Just make sure that no one has access to your computer in the future so it doesn't get screwed up. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100

One other suggestion - if your problems stem from roommates screwing around with your computer, consider p@ssword protecting it thru the BIOS. Most computers have the ability to be set up to require a p@ssword upon startup - not just your Windows login, but right as the computer boots. This will help prevent some jack hole going in and screwing up your BIOS. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway Performance 1800 - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 5200; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D2H and D100
