Ran into an intersting issue with SP2. I did a clean install of Windows XP on my brothers computer, and then installed SP2. Upon reboot, Windows would not load. The problem was that my bro has a flat panel monitor, which is connected to the DVI port on the video card. Switching to the analog port fixed the problem. Couldn't find any known issues on MS. Any thoughts? Note this was on a clean install. The only caviot is that the flat panel was connected to the DVI port, not the analog port. His computer: Gateway - Intell P4/1.8gz; 256mb RAM, 80gig HD; GeForce 2MX AGP video card, Gateway 18' flatpanel. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 700C - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D100

Thanks but...what's weird is that the problem occurs on a CLEAN install of WinXP plus SP2 (w/o any video card drivers). Someone mentioned to me today that the flat panel might need to be reconfigured (i.e. adjust the monitor settings). ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf Gateway 700C - P4 1.8gz, 512mb RAM, ATi Radeon 8500; SB Live Value; Windows XP Professional, Photoshop CS, Nikon D100
