I'm assuming your running a domain. First, check to make sure that on each WinXP machine, "obtain an IP" and "obtain DNS server" are both set to automatic. Also, make sure that you have both a DHCP and DNS server running. Shut down one computer (before you do, do a IPCONFIG /release and then shut it down). On the other do a IPCONFIG /release, and then reboot. Then bring up the first computer. FWIW, pulling and IP address of 0.0.0.0 indicates theres a problem with the DHCP server. ---------------------------------------------- Work is for people who don't know how to surf
