1. You can't unless the program was specifically written to be a service (or to allow it to run as one). There are API calls the O/S expects a service to respond to and if they don't exist you will have no control over the application. You can sometimes fake it and get "some" apps to run using AUTOEXNT or SRVANY from the win2k resource kit (i think those are the correct names, something like that anyway). 2. Only if the application supports it.
